Day Thirty-one
January 31, 2010Day Thirty
January 30, 2010If any of you are like me, the idea of a comedy show on BYU campus doesn’t sound like the greatest use of a Saturday night. But tonight one of my good friends, Bryson Kearl, was hosting and also performing at a show called HumorU. I was excited and nervous to go because I haven’t seen him do stand up before, and was expecting the worst. I sat with his family which made me more nervous, because if he did bomb I would have to lie and fake laugh through the show. It didn’t take long for me to feel stupid, they announced they were going to open with a prayer and I thought that must be a joke so I started to laugh. Don’t worry I realized my error and stopped before too many noticed. The prayer was good but interesting because he prayed for the the comedians, that they would be funny. God must have been listening because I thought they all did very well. My friend Bryson did an awesome job hosting and killed with his standup routine. Congratulation, Bryson and I hope this becomes a successful and fulfilling career.
Day Twenty-nine
January 29, 2010Day Twenty-eight
January 28, 2010The days are changing. I got home today and the sun was still out. It was hidden behind smog and clouds, but it was still there. I can’t believe there were days when the sun would go down around 9:00. I keep telling myself that this challenge will get easier then, but I’m sure I’ll stress about it just as much then as I do now.
When I got home my wife had just cleaned the house and it was time to make some dinner. I made some yummy chicken quesadillas, while my wife made some delicious Brazilian Lemonade (made with limes). I think limes are just amazing. They are delicious, they make the whole kitchen smell awesome, and they just look good, too.
Oh and I think I’m amazing because I posted this one before 11:00 pm.
Day Twenty-seven
January 27, 2010Day Twenty-six
January 26, 2010Day Twenty-five
January 25, 2010Tomorrow we are going to sushi with a friend, and I promise I’ll find something else to take a picture of. I have tons of fun ideas for pictures, I just don’t have a lot of time to make those pictures happen. I hope that the closer we get to the end of winter the more daylight I’ll have.
The last picture I took with the sun in the background, there was something I didn’t do that I have been kicking myself over. I wanted a cool sunburst effect, but I forgot the most important step in doing that. As most of you know the smaller the aperture, the longer and skinnier the sun beams are. This time I had an F-stop of 22, instead of last time which was 4.0. I think this looks better don’t you?
Day Twenty-four
January 24, 2010Day Twenty-three
January 23, 2010Today we spent the day at my in-laws painting. Luckily I snapped this picture before we left because the only other picture I took today was of my Father in-law’s semi severed toe, from when the ladder came down hard on it. Don’t worry they sewed it back on and he is doing fine. I’ll spare you the picture of the toe though.
Phew, I posted this one with 5 minutes to spare.
