If any of you are like me, the idea of a comedy show on BYU campus doesn’t sound like the greatest use of a Saturday night. But tonight one of my good friends, Bryson Kearl, was hosting and also performing at a show called HumorU. I was excited and nervous to go because I haven’t seen him do stand up before, and was expecting the worst. I sat with his family which made me more nervous, because if he did bomb I would have to lie and fake laugh through the show. It didn’t take long for me to feel stupid, they announced they were going to open with a prayer and I thought that must be a joke so I started to laugh. Don’t worry I realized my error and stopped before too many noticed. The prayer was good but interesting because he prayed for the the comedians, that they would be funny. God must have been listening because I thought they all did very well. My friend Bryson did an awesome job hosting and killed with his standup routine. Congratulation, Bryson and I hope this becomes a successful and fulfilling career.
