Day Forty-nine

February 18, 2010

Just the other day, I asked a friend of mine for some eggs from her parents small chicken coop. I love getting these eggs because they taste so good and they look pretty awesome too. Sometime, I will take a picture of a cracked egg, so you can see how vibrant the colors are inside. Growing up I always thought all eggs were white, and gross. I eventually was shown some brown eggs and thought those were pretty cool. The eggs we get from my friends mom are all sorts of colors. My favorite are the greens and the blues. The funny thing is, the color we rarely see now is white.

Day Forty-seven

Today I watched a cool tutorial, on how to make your normal lenses perform like extreme macro lenses. Here is the link. I played around with this and got some interesting results. Here is one of my favorites. Feel free make your guesses in the comments.

Day Forty-five

Happy Valentines day. I feel bad for the suckers that have to go out and buy these delectable beauties, because my wife makes them every year from Dove dark chocolate just for me.

Day Forty-four

February 13, 2010

Today I, and a few hundred other local photographers, went to a “photowalk” in draper where they had several different studio scenarios setup. This one was the most unique to me, so I spent most of my time there. It was a lot of fun and I learned a lot. For the last little while I have really been getting interested in studio lighting and this just fueled the fire even more.

Day Forty-three

Today I am going to have to ask for some leniency. I know this post is late but we didn’t get home until after midnight. My brother-in-law Brad got home from a mission to Uruguay today, so we spent the entire day today, sitting around telling stories and stuffing our faces. Brad is a great story teller and just fun to be around. We were excited to introduce him to our little sweet pea. She was born while he was out and he has only seen pictures. My little buddy was pretty excited to see his uncle Brad, but to be honest, he was probably more excited for the ice cream promised to him if he behaved at the airport. Here he is telling Brad a story that no one understood.

Day Forty-two

Ok so the truth is I hate candy. But I live in a house full of sugar fiends. As you can imagine a pile of candy hearts like this was like a pile of fresh meat to a pack of wolves. I assure you when I was done taking this picture there were was a happy wife and two happy little pups.

P.S. Chocolate is not a candy.
