It feels like spring again. It was warm enough for my son, who we are currently potty training, to jump on the tramp in just his underwear. Knowing Utah, it will eventually get hot enough that you might actually catch me jumping on the tramp in just my skivvies.

February 21, 2010Today we were in Ogden and the whole way there my little buddy was pointing out all the trains he saw. So when we drove past the Union Pacific Station with all the big trains parked there, we had to pull over. Even though it was freezing cold he had a blast running around and pointing out all the different colored trains.
Day Forty-three
February 13, 2010Today I am going to have to ask for some leniency. I know this post is late but we didn’t get home until after midnight. My brother-in-law Brad got home from a mission to Uruguay today, so we spent the entire day today, sitting around telling stories and stuffing our faces. Brad is a great story teller and just fun to be around. We were excited to introduce him to our little sweet pea. She was born while he was out and he has only seen pictures. My little buddy was pretty excited to see his uncle Brad, but to be honest, he was probably more excited for the ice cream promised to him if he behaved at the airport. Here he is telling Brad a story that no one understood.
Day Forty-two
February 11, 2010Ok so the truth is I hate candy. But I live in a house full of sugar fiends. As you can imagine a pile of candy hearts like this was like a pile of fresh meat to a pack of wolves. I assure you when I was done taking this picture there were was a happy wife and two happy little pups.
P.S. Chocolate is not a candy.

January 2, 2010My kids are so great. They teach me so many lessons in life. For example, The times when I feel like they are being difficult and trying, are the times when I’m being selfish and putting my wants before theirs. This morning I had a lot of stuff I wanted to do. Sledding wasn’t really on that list. Thankfully we decided to do something they might want to do instead. We got the kids all bundled up, both resembling Ralphie’s little brother from The Christmas Story, and went sledding. Not only did we have fun be we were able to see the side of our son that we love so much. He was sweet, funny, and independent. We would crash at the bottom of the hill and just lay there for a minute till I would hear him say, “uhhh I’m dead.” I would then say, “me too.” He would start giggling and grab the rope of the sled and drag it, by himself, all the way back up the hill. I was sad to tell him that it was time to go get some food but he took it like a champ. Especially when he found out there was a Rootbeer freeze from Hires in it for him. Here is a picture of both my Little Buddy and my Sweet Pea at Hires. Sweet Pea is such a clown, and I love her.
